Oh my, poor you and the poor birds! I have no idea if this will clean that kind of smell off but I can say from experience this works wonders on skunk spray. Mix 1 pint peroxide, 1/8 cup baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon liquid soap, ( I used Dawn) Rinse well. good luck with everything!!!

I yelled when I read about the erupting sewer line. Of all things! Why then? With that kind of stench I believe I'd try washing with tomato soup! Hope the chickens do okay. Maybe the rasping was the results of breathing in all that bacteria that goes along with sewage.

anyhow, would you believe me if i said that my friends and family didn't even blink at the story? This sort of weird stuff happens to me a lot. I think I disturbed an ancient pilgrim burial ground or something.

oh man it just got worse.

I heard a loud "BAM!" while outside that sent my Australian shepherd hurtling into my arms. When Investigating I found a large oak ( bigger around than i am) had spontaneously fell and landed across the drive way, blocking road access.

I managed to get most of the stink off, but while i was walking down the back steps to take care of the birds, one of the steps broke and i fell head first onto the ground. I manage to twist around enough to not land my full weight on my head, but i have road rash all on m legs thighs and a big indention in the (thankfully) soft ground where my head impacted. Years of horse back riding and martial arts have taught me how to fall.

So I'm waiting for the muscle rub to kick in before i finish tending to my flock of (now) 71 birds.

I think I'm going to go get blessed.

you're probably right. I've been blessed, smudged, and prayed over many times, and this stuff happens to me a lot.

Honestly, I find this all very funny. I don't get angry or even upset about it. At least not any more. I'm sitting here chuckling about the fall while my family is horrified. I'm not b adly hurt so it's funny.

Maybe my amusement is ticking off the powers that be.
