I heard that same voice but I ignored it.THEN I heard the bator calling "More eggs More eggs" all the way from the attic where I had put it so I couldn't hear it but it didn't work.
So now I have 36 eggs in the bator

and a real good reason why I will have to clean out the basement..may be too cold to put them in my outside brooder so they may have to stay in for a bit...plus those are a wee bit full right now. My DH only shook his head.
Oh wait...was I supposed to stop you..sorry

Those eggs are only 1 click away..1 click about 25 days-shipping time and numerous trips to the bator to peek before

.
Now to be fair the down side is more chick feed to buy unless you are already buying so much you won't notice the difference

I too, want to fire up the monster bator. My girls are the only thing keeping me from doing it. They quit on me about 2 months ago and its been so long since I've seen an egg, I probably wouldn't know what it was. I hatched out my last batch the beginning of Sept.

I'm starting to shake again and get the cold sweats.

Not sure if i could stop you as i'm looking for someone to stop me. Spring really did me in with tons of hatching and my back room filled with dust for months. i swore i was done for the year.

But then i thought, hey, why not let my broodies sit on eggs. i have four batches of babies now, three groups in hutches in my shed. One group i just integrated into an existing outdoor group. i have one broody sitting on eggs, and pondering what to do with the four eggs i have collected from my showgirl pen. i was going to stop hatching, but this last hatch produced a partridge showgirl (from a columbian roo and white hen). So now all those eggs are potential partridge showgirls. (woooo hoooooooo!)

i just don't think i can resist seeing what pops out.

I can't believe what I heard last night. I said something about selling a bunch of eggs this spring, and DH, my DH, said "I bet you could sell a lot more if you hatched them". Talk about an enabler! Besides, I have 10 longcrowers due the 24th, 4 eggs under a broody, leghorns on the way, and some surprise eggs too. So much for down time.

Mine is calling to me too, but it's getting too cold here, so I must resist. Besides, my babies are only 3 weeks old and I need to get them grown and integrated first.

But I can't wait til spring!!!! Already have eggs lined up!! And my husband is all prepared to build me another coop in the spring.

ETA: Of course he thinks it's just for meaties.

No, tell me you aren't getting longcrowers! i played a youtube video for my husband and said now he can't complain about how annoying our Tony's crow is. At least it doesn't last for 38 seconds.

Well, DH said they will probably all be hens, since its usually the other way around, but yes longcrowers, and all we want is one rooster. Anybody want a longcrower?

Hears The same voice........ Locked the Bator in the incubation closet. ( yes I have a little incubator room set aside just for the bator don't judge me ! ) but the voice it calls me like a Siren's song but I must resist..... must wait until a little bit before march first maybe February 28th or 27th..... but once I get close to that time I am going to go crazy and get eggs, lots of them ! But the voices they tell me that it is so far away and that I will never make it. but I will sadly prove them wrong for I have the best addiction suppressant
