I'm in Gilroy

I want to get chickens. I've heard that Gilroy passed an ordinace allowing 6 chickens. Supposedly went into effect in April. Does anyone know for sure if this went into effect? http://www.codepublishing.com/ca/gilroy/html/Gilroy04.html#4.20 Still says no chickens.

I live in San Jose, CA and we can have up to six chickens. One of our "hens" turned out to be a rooster and now he has to find a new home.

We can't have rooster either. Even though the neighbor has one.
