I'm in it for the eggs

Thanks for the invite Bill.
Wish I could be there. I'll be there in spirit.

Simple pleasures are the best. Food, friends and beer around a roaring fire can't be beat. Pickled sausage or pickled eggs makes it all the better.

I'll drink a little home brew to celebrate your event. Since I'm not doing anything today I may start this afternoon.

Hot sauce pickled eggs and sausage? If I ever get in trouble with hubby, I know what to make to get out of it!

Anyone have a more detailed recipe for the hot pickled sausage and eggs? I tried to look some up yesterday and got some weird ones. Your way sounds easier and less...well....weird!

Dirk gives recipe in post 25 of this thread... I have some soak'in now... Good stuff, adjust spices and heat as u see fit, good base right there thou. Good luck, Bill

As for how many quail eggs per chicken egg:

A chicken egg is considered to have a volume of 1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons (same thing).

So best is to break them till you get 1/4 cup, more or less, of volume.
