. I know I will be crying like a baby. And I bet you all the money in the world they will lay their first egg when I'm at work.

Hi Everyone,
New here and just wanted to put my 2 cents in too. Yes, some chickens do lay green eggs. I have 2 Easter Eggers to , one lays a kind of an olive green egg and the other lays a kind of mint green very small egg.

And yes I cried to when they first started laying them. I was a very proud Nanna! My granddaughter loves to go see if we have any out there in the coop. Before they started laying we we're hoping for blue eggs, but we are just as happy with green eggs.

Green eggs and ham anyone? lol
Gloria

Mom to 2 white chickens ( don't know what kind they are), 2 Easter Eggers, and 3 RIR hens and a roo too! Also my 2 dogs.

I have had full sized BR pullets lay eggs the size of marbles when they first started out laying. If these are early eggs, usually referred to as "pullet eggs" then don't be alarmed by the size of the egg...they will get bigger!
