I'm incubating for the first time!

I too, am a 1st timer!!!
I am sooo excited. I just bought my Little Giant Still Air Incubator! I am going to use paper cartons to make "homemade egg turners". I just got my Silkie Showgirl eggs in the mail today. I am also expecting Frizzle Polish eggs and I have so far 2 of my own Polish eggs. I will wait until Tuesday to set all my eggs, I don't know if I can stand the excitement.

Well, my first hatch went well: 15-24 hatched! I assisted 2 due to low humidity.
They will soon be 3weeks old!
SO much quieter than when we bought our first bunches thru McMurray!! I WILL be hatching my own from now on!!!

Not to sure on the sex... outta the 6 Blk JG - I believe I have 1 maybe 2... Then for the BO - 2 possibly more... Time will tell SOON!

Congrats on everyone else's hatch! Either new or old, it seems hatching eggs is NEVER a dull thing!!
I even got the interest of my 14yo son, who thinks I'm a crazy chicken woman! LOL!

Congratulations on the hatch! Mine didn't hatch at all. It might have been a fertility issue but it might have also been a temp and humidity one as I did have some problems in the beginning. I can't go for another try as we leave on our trip to NC on the 14th of June. Better luck next time I guess. Enjoy your babies. They're so cute. Our CA quail that live around here have babies and they are cute little fuzz balls.
