Well horsejody join the crowd!!! I'm with wifezilla. DH and I are both out of work right now and while spending money hurts, we are spending money on things that create food!

If you're on here chances are good you aim for a more self-sufficient lifestyle, do you hang on Sufficient Self??






And, as I keep telling DH - this is NOT personal. It is all about a lousy economy. And the recession is only over for the top 10% of the country - for the rest of us it still stinks.

We already started the garden before this happened, and we still have canned goods from last year. My friends think I'm nuts canning all that stuff, but I think I'm sensible. I have chixkens. Maybe I'll get a couple of pigs. I do have to be sure that I can make the mortgage payment. I've already been applying for jobs.

Gosh HorseJody, that must really hurt- 17 years and you can't even finish out the month! My prediction is that with the communication skills and good common sense you exhibit on this forum, a new job is just around the corner. Plus you have coworkers and customers who truly care and will be a big help by "networking". Prayers and good wishes are headed your way already. Hug a horse; that always makes me feel a LOT better.
