It's actually just VBA in Access. What language were you going to use? I can share, but I don't have it with me now. Could easily be adapted, went off an idea in a magazine...a coworker asked me if i could make it for her.

I'm probably going to use Python. Still unsure about the GUI toolkit. I'd like to use pyGTK, but the mac version for it is still under development.

Question for everyone: Would you rather the data, pics and stuff like that be stored in a file on your computer, or on a remote server?

I've not worked with Python, mostly Java recently(grad school). I will be working with Oracle starting next week.

I like the idea....but I would like it stored on both.....so that if for some reason I lose internet I can still use my files.

Got a rough draft made of a possible GUI here. The blank space below the tabs is where the buttons and text and all that stuff that will go. Like the tabs idea? Anyone else got any other ideas on how to arrange it?

PS: Anyone got an idea on what to call the program if I make it?
PPS: Do you think the "Income" and "Expenses" tabs should be combined into a single tab called "Finances"? All the tabs look a bit cluttered to me.
