It's been a slow project, but only because I haven't a clue what I'm doing. I plan to have the chickens by the first of September so I have to keep moving along.

Have a look at my page it you're interested in seeing what I have so far. AND, PLEASE, if you see any glaring chicken errors that will doom me to a very large chicken disaster, don't hesitate to point it out to me.

For someone who "doesn't know what they're doing" you seem to be doing a fantastic job! Lucky chickens!

That's looking really good.

Nice to see that you are using hardware cloth over with windows and lower portion on the run.

Your chicks will LOVE the window. Don't be surprised that they all crowd around to get the best window view -mine do.

My only recommendation would be putting a front lip on the front of your nest box to keep the litter in or just put in a plastic box in the nest box space with litter in it so you can just take out and hose down when needed.

Keep up the good work and be sure to keep us updated.

What a lovely work in progress.

You will have such lucky chickens (what kind are coming?).

Buddy is a doll.

Please keep us updated and I can't wait to see what it looks like done and the lovely chickies are enjoying their new home.

You're all too kind. Thanks. I started working on it around the first of July. Been coming here to this board for most of my ideas and watching YouTube for building tips.

I'm looking forward to getting three Delaware chickens from a local breeder.

A front lip on the nest box. Yes, that's a good idea.
