Hello all! I joined BYC because I will soon be a proud parent of some feather-babies. I will be getting ducks though, not chickens, hence the nameduck bill platypus. I am currently searching for a local breeder of Blue Swedish quackers. I have my heart set on Swedish but the coloring is not important. We live in the Sacramento area in California. Metzer farms is alays an option but I'd really like to meet the parents if I can. My husband and I are working on their hutch, keeping a strong focus on protection from predators. I haven't even met them yet and my ducklings are already all I can think about. You can bet that pics will follow

Can anyone direct me to a northern California thread so I can start asking around? Thanks for reading!
