My girls are adorable. I began in July of this year, and they're all about 4-6 months old. I've got a Blue Andalusian (Monet), an Orstralorp (Tuesday), an Easter Egger (Hawkeye Henrietta), a Golden Sexlink (Loretta), a Barred Rock (Lucy), a ?RH or NE Red (Lucky), and a Buff Orpington (Blondie).
I live on the central coast of California in an AG area - it's fine to have BYC's here and many do. I let them free range in the afternoons. I sit with them in the early morning and late afternoon for "chicken therapy". They're quite good at it. Three of them sit in my lap quite often, and quite often all at the same time!
These are the first I've ever had, and I'm looking forward to eggs in the spring.
