What does egg binding mean? I have a chicken who is not herself and don't know what the cause is yet. I just noticed her poop was light green when it came out.She has not been associating with her flock for 4 days. Two of my sexlinks had a fight last week, looked like cock fighting.First time I saw this.I don't know if she is afraid now and was part of the fight or if she's ill.She walks so so slow.

The green poop is significant. It tells us your hen isn't eating for some reason. Her slow gait means she's weak, either from hunger or dehydration. Try encouraging her to drink water for starters.

Is she holding her tail low and flat? Is she standing facing a wall? Are her eyes closed or drooping? Is she fluffed up? Is she in a crouch with her rear pumping? When was the last time she laid? Any shell-less eggs recently?

Is her abdomen swollen? Is her comb and facial tissue cherry red instead of a dusky red? Have you checked her carefully for injuries? Look for any lacerations and red skin under her feathers that might indicated infection.

I'm sorry your hen is not well. Could you give her some water with electrolytes in case she is dehydrated? I also mix feed with a water/electrolyte mix when I think they are just not eating enough. They seem to think it's a treat and eat it like crazy.
