Randy, how is the temp in the brooder? One thing that can cause pasty butt is them being to hot. Have you used a thermometer to set-up your brooder and as we talked before---are you only heating one end?

What have you changed since the beginning of this thread, when you first asked this same question?

Yes I have changed the bulb and only heating one end. At night the temp is about right but during the day it get over 100 degree.Do I need to get a lower watt bulb the one I have is a 60 watt

that's toooo hot..probably the reason you are still dealing with pasty butt

Randy, do you know you can get a thermostat for cheap and make you a set-up where you can adjust the temp like you want it? You can go to Lowes and get a $9 hot water thermostat https://www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitech-Water-Heater-Thermostat/3693208 and turn it to min and fix it where every few days you move it a little closed to the bulb so the floor heat is a little cooler each week. The reason you have to move it closer to the heat is it will not turn down no lower than about 90 degree's so getting it a little closer to the heat will make the light cut off sooner so the floor heat is less.

Ok. yeah I need to do something because like I sead the temp is good at night just during the day when it warms up outside it get to hot
