Hello, I have had many breeds although, every breed lays different cycles and the best way is to use the breed index on the home page. This will give you a idea of what laying pattern you will get from your hens, I tried all of the different breeds although cost effective I needed a hen that could give me a egg everyday! I did not want to waste any more money on a chicken to have for the hen house that would molt and quit when the fall starts to get dark. This year I went with the Black Australorps they will deliver a egg 365 days a year. the whyandotte, sex link, leghorn, are to name a few that are dependable and conserve on feed rations. These days a dollar dose not go far and every egg counts. We love eggnog in the winter. Hope you have a loveable day with your new chirpies. Fondly flowerhippie
