I'm pregnant! (8 months along now, no longer morning sick!)

Congrats! I am 7 weeks long. Thank goodness no moring sickness. This is my 3rd and my boys are 11 and 7 so it is going to be interesting, but lots of help from them, HOPEFULLY! On your sleeping situation, I think I had seen a baby sized crib that attaches to your bed. I had my first sleep with us, but then thats all he ever wanted to do and wouldn't fall asleep without us for over two years!!! So with the second, I nipped that in the bud quick and had a bassinet in our room during the first few months. You handle things alot differently with your 2nd. All pregnancies are different, even your own. For me so far, I am just exhausted and don't like to eat alot at night. And I have no urge for chocolate like I usually do. I actually could go without, GASP! Right now I love black olives, green olives with anchovies, hummus, garlic chips, antipasto...my Italian genetic kicking up or what? Oh, fried salami and egg bagel sandwiches....mmmmm.. I think my mouth is watering and better go make one.. GOOD LUCK!

I'm at 39.5 weeks along now! I'm getting only just slightly antsy. Overall, I wouldn't say that I'm overly anxious for him to come out, nor am I overly anxious about the birth itself. Whatever happens happens, but I'd love to not go to work tomorrow. I doubt that'll be the case.

A funny new occurrence is that I've started feeling hormonal again, like I used to when I would have PMS. Sort of a sinking feeling in my stomach. I wonder if that has any bearing on whether this baby is thinking about coming out soon or not. It could be two more weeks and still be within the normal gestational length. I'm just so sick of going to work and of having heartburn that keeps me up at night. I've been told that while you get less sleep after the baby comes, the quality of sleep you get is better because you're not a behemoth with heartburn anymore.

Won't be long, now! And they're lying about the quality of sleep. Just kidding!!!!

I was told to go back on my Nexium, because my heartburn and GURD would just get worse. My Doc. said Nexium is fine. I was so happy!

The baby is here! He got here on the 20th, after 35 hours of labor. He weighed 7 lbs 13 ounces but he has lost nine ounces since then. I couldn't be happier with the birth and everything. His name is Demetri Benjamin.
