I would have broken out the olive oil if they seemed stuck to the membrane but they didn’t. Except for the darker chick, it seems to have a little stuck spot near the butt area but not covering the vent. The membrane pulled free of the shell for now so I’ll let it go and give it a rest.

That one is dubbed Evil Little Shit. It’s got a couple brothers and sisters with the same name too.

I feel like most of the ones still in the incubator right now are on borrowed time.

Two or three that needed assistance to hatch.
One stargazer
One that won’t stand up to walk, just scoots around on its chest.

Sigh. Evil Little Shit seemed to be the last normal one with no issues.

I pulled out the feed tray, waterer and heat plate in preparation for removing the top layer of the blue towels (I have about five layers of towels in there. Figured it’s easier to roll up the top one for cleaning.)

Who wants to help me double check my chick count?
