I'm Probably Gonna Need My Hand Held Quail Hatch-A-Long

It has audio, not sure if that was intentional or not.
Fixed that thank you. No need to broadcast me talking smack to the dog lol!

There were 10 in the incubator when I went to bed. Looks like there’s 20 now.

I guess I give it to 3pm tomorrow? That would be the end of day 18.

Time to go perform some abductions.

New livestream link. Dunno if YouTube has some limit or the camera. In any case here’s the link. First post edited with the new link too.

Dang these little guys are so cute and tiny! Thanks for the camera closeup of some of the abductees as you moved them! 😁

6 more transferred. So 32 in the brooder, 10 in the incubator. Hatching seems to be slowing way down.

I’m a little worried about this one. It seems to be stargazing. Not totally flopping over but really stretching its head up. And either an abnormally long neck for a chick? Or really really stretching it.

It’s back is oddly bare of down too.

Aww poor Will. I was rooting for him.

I have a stargazing hen. She's different, but thriving! Of course there are a multitude of severity. Odd about the bare back on that one too! Almost looks red and irritated.

Is it wrong to say the ones colored dark like that have been the ones that have deformities?

Seems to be, the stargazer is very similar in color to what Will was. But that coloring is fairly common for a couple different types of adult coloring from what I understand.

After this work meeting, I’m gonna see if I can dig up my bottle of Nutri-Drench and see if I can get just a drop into the beak of the stargazer. I hope I didn’t leave it out in the chicken shed, it’s dang cold here today and it might have froze.

Stargazer got a drop of Nutri-drench. 6 more abductions (including a suicide jumper who didn’t actually suicide) to the brooder for a total of…38 in the brooder? And 5 left in the incubator.

Letting the humidity normalize and in a few hours might try to clear some shells out.
