As we are halfway thru day 3….how does one handle the anticipation? And boredom of incubating???

Doesn’t matter how long I stare at the incubator. Nothing happens except the water pump running occasionally.

I did get the camera set up on the incubator. Sadly it does not allow public live streaming for hatching day.

And my dreams are dashed again, no live cam watch at hatching....

I think this is the time when you take up a new hobby that totally occupies your hands - crocheting, knitting, glueing mosaics - to keep you from fidgeting with the eggs

I already knit and crochet….making mosaics sounds interesting. I’ve always wanted to try making stained glass suncatchers too.

Unfortunately the incubator is hogging all the available flat space on our dining room table!

And I am reminded that my husband never got rid of his old phone when he upgraded recently. I’m gonna see if I can rig it to live stream to YouTube once hatching day gets nearer.

I would live stream I'm just a bit clueless when it comes to that stuff. And I can't have my cell phone dedicated to a live stream.

That’s why I’ll be using an old spare phone. I just have to get around to seeing how good the camera quality is and if it will be able to operate continuously while plugged in. I seem to remember he replaced this particular phone because the battery life was getting pretty degraded.

I may be also guilty of poking around in this corner of the forum way more than I did in the past.

I usually hang out the most in the coop and run construction forum.
