My 4 soon-to-be 10 weeks old girls have been free ranging in the backyard during the day and coming indoors to their brooder at nite while the coop is being built.

The coop is finished!!!!! Pics posted soon. With a cold snap coming.....low 30's at nite, 50's during the day, chance of snow.....are they ready to be out permanently? I don't have any heat source set up but can be easily remedied. Just wondering if 4 dry girls can keep warm enough without extra heat. They will be dry and draft free.

I would think that they are plenty big enough. I have 8 wk olds that have been outside for 3 weeks. I do have a heat light that i leave on if the temps get down below 50 or so at night. They bunch up on cold nights but seem very happy. Good Luck

They should be more than ready, especially if you have been weaning them off their heat lamp gradually.
