yeah I know we had one we used for shade and cover over our duck pen worked great. I have to ask some of the farmers around if they still have any...
Just got to find a sewing machine that works, mine went south a couple years ago

you're gonna have to show me what you come up with! the possiblities are endless!

how long did the duck pen cover last? I'm curious.

I just found a few feed bags around here we were saving up as trash bags that would work for those totes if only I had a sewing machine:( Going to start looking on freecycle for a free one that runs. I've had lots of creative ideas in the past also and just needed a machine to put those ideas to work. So nows the time for a machine. Just maybe I can turn my creativity into a job that pays for itself. LOL

you should totally do it!! the thing that I really like about the totes is actually seeing 'something' a product, something useful to many people from something I normally tossed in the trash can. I always thought there had to be something I could do with them. Its got me thinking about other things I would normally throw away.

akyramoto the shade cover was still on the pen as a cover after this winter, We had already moved the Ducks in October into my old shed we had lined with straw bales. Then I impounded 4 young dogs. (I work part time for the Humane Society of Missouri.) I Was to only have them for 2-3 weeks and ended up being 5 months. They were in that pen during that time. I did let them out 3 -4 days a week to run for a while. But they did get ahold of a couple of corners of the soybean bag. You know how puppies like to tug on things, so Dh threw it out last month when he took down the pen. I wasn't home at the time. That's why it was gone before I could see it. Haha I am sure there was still quite abit of material left of it covering the top. I believe it held up well. It sure helped keep the rain off also.
I really would like to get some more. As you said possiblities are endless! Hey a hammock, what do ya think????
