I'm Sad i'm crying i'm FAINTING! Reader beware your in for a scare....

Forgive yourself and move on, the hen will not hold it against you and you should not hold it against yourself. Like Kansaseq said, you didn't intend to hurt a chick, and at least it went on to serve the rest of the flock as protein instead of being wasted. It's okay, hon.

Oh sweetie you did not do it on purpose. I am sorry this happened to you. But mistakes happen. It is normal to feel really bad. But don't be hard on yourself.

You never know when life is going to throw a lesson your way. Sometimes the lessons are hard and we don't handle them so well. But, as long as you learn you're making progress!

Try not to feel to bad we've all made mistakes that have cost us. Try to remember and candle next time. Some of us even make the same mistake twice, we just don't post it here.

Take care

Rancher

I've done it before and I was unhappy about it thinking those eggs were blanks. Well, there were chicks that were alive but no way they will survive outside of the shell.

Dont beat yourself up, it happens to any of us in our worst moments. Next time take a flashlight with you when you candle her eggs.

Don't beat yourself up over this, I know it sucks and makes you feel really really bad but we are only human and we make mistakes its how we learn as we go. Sometimes it takes something bad happening to teach us things. I myself have made this same mistake early on when I 1st got chickens.

Your mum is right, life is full of hard lessons. I've learned many the hard way myself. Let yourself off the hook, you are obviously a caring person who never would have done it on purpose.
