No, that's NOT what the study says. Recommend you read it for yourself.

That is, however, a good summation of the title.
Oddly, this is being pushed by some of the same people convinced COVID arose in a Chinese Weapons lab (an opinion upon which I have no strong opinion). The authors of the study are:

Shuangshi Wei,a,1 Shengbao Duan,a,b,1 Xiaomei Liu,a Hongmei Wang,a Shaohua Ding,a Yezhou Chen,a Jinsong Xie,a Jingjing Tian,a Nong Yu,c pingju Ge,d xinglin Zhang,d Xiaohong chen,d Yong Li,a,⁎ and Qinglin Menga,⁎

and its disclosed funding?
This work was supported by grants from the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province (Grants No BK20180224) and Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists of Jiangsu Province (Grant No. BK20160362).

For the geographically impaired, I offer Google maps.

I personally feel that every sophomore in US should be taught basic research principles and how to critique a study.

Your lesson here demonstrates the first flaw: author affiliation bias and sponsorship. Just after making that discovery is when one should conclude that the paper is best used as coop bedding.

Why aren't more people angry that this guy (and people of his ilk) are lying to us and pumping out false info because they think we are too stupid to actually follow up on sources? That's something people should be furious about. And they should tell their friends and families that this is dangerous stuff that is truly undermining society.

I just hate when folks in positions of power or sources of information take advantage of the average person for profit. I don't care their political bent. It happens on all "sides."

Rant over.
Lack of trust in those we once perceived as having our best interests in mind, ie the government, our schools, media (before the internet), our churches. They have slowly eroded the trust once held in high regard by citizens.

I still trust schools - at least the ones I've worked in.

We teach that starting MUCH earlier nowadays, actually. It's actually part of those dreaded common core standards.

Yes, I'm being a little facetious to make a rhetorical point - but not much. Shrimp lobster, and other crustacions are much more closely related to insects than the rest of the "animal" kingdom.

and Thailand, Mexico, China, Brazil, a huge swath of Africa, in terms of where.

Hilarious (clean) comic. This video on YouTube is his rant on giant sea bugs.

I may have nearly failed latin, but that doesn't mean I didn't spend many sleepless nights translating passages from the Histories. Part of the reason I took medieval history in college after Calc II kicked my . . . - less to read than in Ancient history.

Also greater application to the modern world.
I don’t like to dwell on the past. Astrology is where the future lies (Puns and more puns)
