What damages? People have a right to raise questions if they have a suspicion that the companies are doing something wrong that affects their flocks. If the suspicions turn out conclusively unfounded, they should admit their error. But why on earth should they be sued for raising questions? We're in a scary state if we don't have the freedom to do that.
Damages to their reputation

The Dick Van Dyke Show was shown after school on one of the only 3 tv channels available way back yonder when I was a kid. I never thought the show was all that funny back then, probably because the humor was targeted more towards adults. But after watching this today 60+ years after it aired back in 1962, it is Hilarious! (I watched the entire clip, including the prelude before the duck went to the vet, although the vet scene is the funniest.) @Aunt Angus , did you see this?! Anyone else who wants a good laugh should watch it too!
This is one of my all-time favorite shows. The Bob Newhart show is up there, too.
Amazon shows the episodes are free with ads via FreeVee. It probably has other distributions as well.

That's something I've never understood, if you decide to go vegetarian or vegan that's great, but then why eat faux "meat"? Isn't that the whole point, that you are not eating meat? If you are eating a bean patty why not call it a bean patty, why call it a burger and attempt to make it taste like meat?

Vegan "eggs" make more sense because you do need a binder in a lot of recipes.
Totally agree. I've been a vegetarian most of my life. I prefer unprocessed foods, usually. And faux meat just perpetuates meat eating as a desirable habit, which seems counterintuitive to me. I have had plant based meat products, mainly when our family goes out to get burgers and there is no suitable vegetarian sandwich option. Or if the only thing on the menu that is vegetarian is something that sounds icky. I don't ever go looking for plant based "meat" and I've never bought faux meat products to eat at home.

The only thing I can think of as to the purpose of plant based meat products is to make vegetarianism more appealing to meatatarians.

Questioning is good, making (slanderous accusations as fact) that affect so many is another. And those that continue to do those things should be held accountable to have deterrents from everyone doing it without any factual info to back it up.

Exactly. I'm not sure an average Joe farmer guy should be sued. The news organizations that took it and ran with it as verified news might be seen as legally liable, though, if there were significant enough damages.

I think I'll go back to watching "Never Name a Duck" - I just "DuckDuckGo"ed "What feed additive would reduce chicken egg production?" top returns "Fact Checkers" (bad sign) scrolled down found this from "The Gateway Pundit" https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...gglaying-stop-board-ties-wef-jeffrey-epstein/ anybody hear of "rMNA"? Ever hear Bill Gates say they want to vaccinate Live Stock with rMNA? What about these "Terminator Seeds" I keep hearing about? Seeds that only produce one crop then you have to go back and buy more from distributor because saved seeds will grow but not produce a crop. Are Terminator Seeds what we are feeding our animals? Quoting Article, "Kreamer Feed on premium nutrition for animals nationwide, and all of the products in our organic, non-GMO brand Nature’s Best Organic Feeds line is no exception.” Maybe switching to Kreamer Products would be a good suggestion for folks? Non-GMO and Organic? Another quote, "Another Tractor Supply board member Andre Hawaux is a former executive with ConAgra, which has been criticized for using genetically modified organisms to change the genetic composition of its foods which dissident voices say causes sterility." (Nutrena is made by ConAgra.) Do we have to start growing our own feed? I have grown buckwheat for my bees and cover crop. It grows very well, but not sure about nutritional value for chickens. Why doesn't the FDA or any of these corperate elites respond to questions from the reporter of this article? I wonder if the Elites have mass supplies of food stashed away. Aren't they worried about eating tainted food, too? $5 billion animal feed market per year, aren't they cutting their own throats by reducing their income? It Makes no sense!

I don't watch the news, so I didn't know they did that. I think a flock keeper's right to question is a lot more important than a mega rich feed company's reputation. If they want to go after the news, I don't see why they shouldn't. I just don't think it was started by one guy who deciding they wanted to take Purina down by slander.

Agree fully. Concerned farmers aren't a threat to huge companies. False or unvetted news sources are a threat to pretty much everyone.

Have you been following the "Twitter File Dumps"? Congressional hearings? Twitter, FB, Instagram, Google working with FBI to suppress information by out spoken Doctors and Nurses about C-19? Blatant violation of First Amendment (which is enforced by the Second). Suing is their "LawFare" defense. If people come out against the Main Stream Narrative they sue, you loose everything trying to defend your self and the lawyers get rich. So, Right on!!!
