OMG just stop or come up with better sources.I think I'll go back to watching "Never Name a Duck" - I just "DuckDuckGo"ed "What feed additive would reduce chicken egg production?" top returns "Fact Checkers" (bad sign) scrolled down found this from "The Gateway Pundit" https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...gglaying-stop-board-ties-wef-jeffrey-epstein/ anybody hear of "rMNA"? Ever hear Bill Gates say they want to vaccinate Live Stock with rMNA? What about these "Terminator Seeds" I keep hearing about? Seeds that only produce one crop then you have to go back and buy more from distributor because saved seeds will grow but not produce a crop. Are Terminator Seeds what we are feeding our animals? Quoting Article, "Kreamer Feed on premium nutrition for animals nationwide, and all of the products in our organic, non-GMO brand Nature’s Best Organic Feeds line is no exception.” Maybe switching to Kreamer Products would be a good suggestion for folks? Non-GMO and Organic? Another quote, "Another Tractor Supply board member Andre Hawaux is a former executive with ConAgra, which has been criticized for using genetically modified organisms to change the genetic composition of its foods which dissident voices say causes sterility." (Nutrena is made by ConAgra.) Do we have to start growing our own feed? I have grown buckwheat for my bees and cover crop. It grows very well, but not sure about nutritional value for chickens. Why doesn't the FDA or any of these corperate elites respond to questions from the reporter of this article? I wonder if the Elites have mass supplies of food stashed away. Aren't they worried about eating tainted food, too? $5 billion animal feed market per year, aren't they cutting their own throats by reducing their income? It Makes no sense!
If you've got suggestions for what might be added, please share them. Labs cannot test for "something," they need to know what they are testing for. (As an example: testing for glyphosate does not tell whether the feed has arsenic, and testing for both of those will still not tell if it has DDT. Not that I think any of those three examples will make hens stop laying, just that they are examples of things that sometimes are tested for.)I think something is added to the feed not the amount of protein or nutrients.
There have always been chicken house fires & plant fires also, but that hasn't stopped people from making a conspiracy theory out of them. It's true that there have always been quite a number of derailments. The difference is instant media spreading photos and videos over the internet for what might have been page 6 local news in the paper or 3 minutes on the 11 o'clock TV news.
Large-scale derailments are relatively rare, but they happen periodically -- creating spills of various materials and, frequently, setting fires in the brush along the tracks.
My DH used to be a firefighter and considers allowing these chemicals to burn off quite normal -- the products of combustion are less toxic than the unburned chemicals AND trying to put them out injudiciously tends to kill firefighters.
Accidents happen.
Rail is MUCH safer transport for hazardous material than trucks, but no system on earth is ever perfect.
Maybe there is a need to crack down on some aspect of rail transport or maybe not. But no matter what you will never eliminate all accidents.
My theory for all the panic is that people's Covid Chickens, bought in 2020, are experiencing their second winter and vast numbers of people who have now had chickens for a couple years are, nonetheless, totally unprepared to cope with the idea that their "pets with benefits" do not retain their high production levels after the first season or two.
Since 1988, The Vegan Society defines veganism as follows:Yeah, some people eat eggs from their own chickens but being vegan means not eating dairy, animal by-products, meat, etc.
So i can’t just own a cow and then take the milk and eggs from a chicken and still consider myself a vegan, because that would be a vegetarian. Just call yourself a vegetarian. Nothing wrong with that!
There are names for different diets.
Vegan: Not eating meat, animal by products or eggs
Vegetarian: Not eating meat
Ovo Vegetarian: Like a vegan but they eat eggs
Pescatarian: Doesn’t eat meat but eats fish and other seafood.
And there are so many more, to.

Love is love.... And love for someone (something) helpless for its own sake is pure, fur or feathersI'm never going to forget sitting in the waiting room with her. Rabbits, hamsters, dogs, cats, sure. But a duck was a shock to the other people waiting. We were stared at. A lot.![]()
Candace Owens reports on the "Eggsiracy". Read the comments. Many examples given. Also shows that young lady in TX that I posted about earlier in this thread. I think something is added to the feed not the amount of protein or nutrients.
You can be vegetarian and not do cruelty, by the way. I just don’t see how it follows it. Cruelty free and Vegan are different things, though they are combined for the most part, i have friends who drink milk, eat eggs, etc. They get it local but they do not ever consider themself a vegan.Since 1988, The Vegan Society defines veganism as follows:
Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.

When I was young (yeah, long ago) I met some original vegans (they were not angry, self-righteous or preachy) it was explained to me as "cruelty free" and non exploitation.
Raising your hens as pets and eating eggs is in line with this philosophy, so you may not think of yourself as vegan... But you may be more vegan than you realized
