I need to candle again, but it's been so cold I didn't want to take them out of the incubator.
B/B/S Orpington that are suppost to lay Olive green eggs, and 6 Buff Orpington eggs from my flock, and then 10 B/B/S Bantam AM eggs, and 15 Lavender Bantam AM eggs, 6 White LF AM eggs and then 12 Olive Egger eggs from a friend.
Quote:
AM stands for Ameraucana. And yes, I know orpingtons lay brown eggs. These are "Test" or "Project" eggs.
The lady I got them from ( a BYC'er of course ) is working on getting orps to lay Olive eggs, the eggs I recieved were a nice Olive green color and she wanted to some BYC'ers to hatch some out for her and raise them and let her know how many lay Olive green eggs.

did you try to candle your green egg? I bought 24 from a farmer, and ended up with 23 brown and 1 green. The brown are difficult to candle, the green impossible.
