Well my hen is comfortably sitting on 13 and she isnt even that big i feel like she could sit on maybe 15 just make sure theres no eggs poking out from under her.

Nice did where did you order the eggs from?Out of 13 eggs 5 where good from shipped eggs.... not great but ive had alot worse hopefully a few hatch!

I set three chicken eggs yesterday (it's all I had) They are white leghorn crosses, and my first incubation.

Wow thats pretty cool never seen an incubator like that! I used to have a brinsea mini advance it was great had a few 100% hatches now all i got is my broody hen it her first time setting hopefully she does good

I had my white leghorn hen go broody and hatch 3 out of 4 eggs. The last one was one another hen snuck into the nest two days later after the rest were set on. The mother hen abandoned it, and evan pecked at the egg after the others hatched. Did an assisted hatch, but it was too late. I hope my eggs in the incubator hatch!

I actually drove just over an hour to go and get them, picked up a blue wheaten rooster and 3 pullets. one blue wheaten and two black, I also picked up 5 wheaten from another place the day after too for him to play with going to fill his pen with these ladies and see what babies I can get so I can sell a bunch in the spring!

So lock down, day 18, was supposed to be sunday. I decided I would candle the eggs today and one is hatching!! I guess you are never going to know what you get when you collect from the barn removed 8 from the 30, 10 Im unsure of, and the rest looked alright. I did remove one last week though. We are on day 7 of my 19 blue wheaten and 5 lavender Wheaten and thought I will candle those later tonight to see if I can see anything forming as far as veins go! My broody hen kept kicking an egg out of the nest after a few times of putting it back under her I finally took it away. Got my hubby to open it and there was stuff forming... poor little thing. Want her to keep on the ones we got maybe there was too many for her to sit on, even though there was only ten. What does it mean when they kick out eggs?
