I'm Sick of Brinsea- What's your favorite automatic Incubator ?

Humidity control and Auto turning are a must. What is your favorite? Thanks!
Ok, why are you sick of Brinsea??? Brinsea people wouldn't trade their incubator for anything-or so I've heard.

The only thing I know of (table top incubator wise) that comes close to the functioning of the Brinseas are the R-com bators. Other than that, I don't know of any that have "humidity control" unless you start talking cabinet incubators. Then you have the Sportsmans.

Humidity pumps are not very helpful, IMO. I prefer to dry hatch and keep the humidity low (20 - 30%) until lockdown, then I will all the water pans and add cloth to wick the water up for easier evaporation (and easier cleanup as a side benefit). I have a Sportsman and several styrobators, but I hatch in a homemade "coolerbator" and it does much better than any incubator I've got for hatching. I do love the autoturning of the cabinet, not replacing that one.

For a small incubator, I don't think you can go wrong with a GQF Genesis. It's far more cost effective than a Brinsea or RCOM. And whatever you buy, check Cutler Supply before purchasing anywhere else. They were the cheapest and best service when I bought my last one.

I prefer dry method as long as it's above 25%. I'm trying to gather info on how well dry incubation works in bators other than styro batos. Using an LG now, would like to get the hova bator with the picture window next.
Everything is more cost efficient than the Brinsea or R-coms....lol But they do have the best recommendations and are more fool proof than their competitors. Excellent quality, if you can afford it. They are also known as being set them and forget them which make them perfect for the busy person who can;t be there to regularly check conditions. I have great hatches in my LG, but doubt that would be so w/o the constant supervision.

A lot of the chicken folks around here use Lyon Roll X incubators and swear by them..They are nice units. We have a Dickey that I like very much but also still have a couple 1588's that we use for hatchers..I think its hard to beat the 1588's for the price.

That's the hova bator w/ the picture window, right?

The preset temperature unit with full top window is the 1588.

I've the old model full window and fan and that's manual temp adjustment with metal wafer thermostat.

My only experience with Brinsea is my ecoglow brooder. It wouldn't heat over 71 degrees, brand new. Very disappointed in the overall quality of that item. I have had great success with my janoel incubator tho. It's very well made and my hatch rates have been awesome!
