My parents remember the Laserdisc vs. VHS. Never heard of Betamax before. Before my time, but we watched many a video on laserdisc growing up.

I remember when Netflix sent you physical DVDs with sleeves to return them (blew a teenager's mind with this one a couple weeks ago).

I remember waiting to hit the record button for a radio song on a cassette tape.

I remember taping over the little tabs so I could record over "permanent" cassettes.

I remember the HD/Blu-Ray war.

I remember waking up to hearing radio anchors repeat over and over "the twin towers have fallen".

Oh, I remember those things.
I was at work when September 11 happened. I thought it was a new action movie,it was showing on my monitor on my desk. Then people started talking and grouping together. I ran over and learned that it was real and the company I was working for had an office in one of the twin towers. (I am in Australia).

We did not have a VHS. My mom rented it for a week at the end of the year school holiday.

I remember we did not have a phone in the house, we used the public phone a few blocks from our house. To think that many of us now sleep with the phone next to us. We live in a different world now, how fast things changed and I am living through those changes.

I don't remember mention of it on here yet but I do remember kids down loading what they thought would be free music until their parents got the bill for a whole lot of money. I don't remember the download site either. It was however big news when it hit the fan.

Never heard of that one. Only heard of the sites that got shut down because they handed out free music MP3s.

It's probably the one. I think the music was just downloaded onto computers. Not sure were it went to from there. I had no one involved and it's a good thing.
