I'm so old I remember meeting #15 at the 1965 Detroit Auto Show. I also remember looking at the 1965 Lincoln Continental and the sticker price was $6400 and change.

That was a lot for back then!

Yes as I remember the minimum wage was $1.75 an hour or about $3500 a year then. A new 3/2 home in a nice new burb on the north was in the mid 20's at the time too.

It was a lot. Our new 1975 Dodge Monaco was around $4000, I think.

Anybody remember back in say mid 80sish there was a frozen thing out there I believe made by Pepperidge farm, it was like a meat pie with salty roast beef and the pie part was very fluffy and almost layered like a biscuit? It looked like a big biscuit but had the roast beef type filling. Man they were so good I loved them. Can't seem to find the exact same thing

I used to love the Pepperidge Farm Vanilla Cake. I *think* I remember what you're talking about though.

I'm so old I remember when the Detroit Free Press had a larger classified section than a lot of larger city newspapers have now. Back then the Help Wanted section was listed as Help Wanted Male and Help Wanted Female. Back then a 58 Hour work week was considered a fringe benefit.

I'm so old I remember the going out of business manufacturing sale adds for machine tools hit the pages right after the Vietnam War ended and the classifieds got a lot thinner.

I'm so old I remember working as a tool and die machinist in the mid 60's. Winter hours we worked 12 hours a day M-Thur, 11 hours on Fridays and 9 hours on Saturdays. We worked another 8 hours on every other Sunday.
