That's exactly what they want to stop. People consuming beef and eggs and chicken. Not on my life

I don't remember when, but I can say that when my great grandad was working the Chicago stock yards there was a lot more beef in the midwest than there is now.

I look around now and see old rusty barbwire fences bordering fields where corn and beans are grown that once kept cattle in the pastures.

The longest lived refrigerator I ever had was avocado green. It ended its life as the extra fridge in the barn. I think it was over 40 years old when it started having problems. They don't make them like that any more.

When my parents bought their house, it came with the original washing machine from 1952. That thing finally gave up the ghost after about 50 years.
