I'm so old I Remember when:

🤔 Wasn't it determined a few years ago that that smell is actually bad for you because it's the result of chemicals in the fabrics and plastics outgassing?
I wouldn't know. I do know that the formaldehyde fumes in new trailers in the Arizona heat is definitely bad for you.

I have actually encountered people in desperate need of such products. They actually left a trail of odor and if you crossed it, the miasma would cling to you and your clothes and hair until you showered. Truthfully, these people did not need these products so much as they needed a lengthy shower, shampoo and to burn their clothes. And maybe some education about the importance of personal hygiene.
Still, I have to ask how much of our body cracks and crevices have we suddenly allowed others to access that requires the additional use of deodorant…..assuming soap and water has also been preciously employed.:idunno

A LOT of stuff is bad for you in the Arizona heat. Most manufactured products are not tested for safety in terms of baking in 90+ temps for months at a time. You have to be super careful in the desert. Safety standards and longevity conditions for the rest of the country just don't apply here.

It makes me laugh when I look at a seed packet and it says "full sun." They sure as heck don't mean our full sun.
