I remember paper and pencil at school! All of my kids use chromebooks or iPads at school. Any written assignment is photographed and submitted digitally. The teachers use programs to grade papers for them. No real communication between anyone, and my kids have IEPs. My teachers used to make SURE our parents got their notes by pinning them to our shirts.

I am so old I remember being paddled at school.

I was threatened with so many “licks” because my friend pulled a boy’s pants down while he was dangling from the monkey bars. I had no part in it and still got in as much trouble!!! And I’m still upset! lol

My mother's was white gold, early 50s. But most wedding rings were 14K yellow gold. That was the standard.

And knowing that their sons would have some sort of accident dads told their boys a scuffed knee was nothing to cry about BUT you better not tear the knees out of those jeans…..after all those knees would heal themselves but those jeans won’t.
