On mine, there is an option to use heated drying or not. You have to select heated drying to use it.

I guess it depends on your dishwasher model? Ours air dries by default and you have to push a button for heated when you start a load.

I've never had this option. It always used heated drying by default. But now we have a Bosch and there is no heat element. It's all stainless inside and that dries it. I don't know how but it works and I can put plastic on the bottom rack

My sister and I had the kid sized version of the cornflower blue Corelleware coffeepot, cups and saucers along with a couple of pint-size casserole dishes with lids. Thanks for jogging this fond memory.

One of my least favorite of their patterns - they had/have some truly nice patterns but also some truly hideous ones. The taste of food is absolutely affected by the prettiness of the plate or bowl it is served on/in.

I remember looking through old school yearbooks of relatives and some of the kids are smoking while getting their pictures taken

I remember seeing pictures of fellas with their DA haircuts dressed in blue jeans and white tee shirts with their packs of coffin nails rolled up in the sleeve of their tees and/or one tucked behind their ear James Dean style. Before my time though.
