Right before I got my license, I was VERY upset because you could no longer get two gallons for under a dollar. I swore it was a conspiracy ... I guess I wasn't too far wrong!I remember when gas was less than 17¢ a gallon...

Yep ... except that your paycheck was like, $27 a week!Yup. Handing over a $5 bill, saying, "Fill 'er up," and staying in your car while you got your windows washed, oil and tires checked. Yup yup. THOSE were the days, lol.
