But then I have to worry about the roosters, and the excess calcium.I feed Kalmbach Flock maker 20 percent with oyster shell on the side works well! Several of our bird`s appearance improved on this feed!
Kalmbach flock maker is lower calcium. I use it because we have birds that are several different ages and they aren`t all laying at once. But then I have to worry about the roosters, and the excess calcium.![]()
Roosters will not normally eat oyster shell as long as it is free choice in its own container..But then I have to worry about the roosters, and the excess calcium.![]()
I used to give mine Kalmbach Flock Maintainer with oyster shell on the side.I'm all over the Internet... and I don't see the all flock feed.![]()
Not at all! Not only will the roosters stay away from the oyster shell, but any non-laying hens will ignore it as well. So you can feed this year round, because birds that are too young or too old to lay, as well as birds that are molting or brooding, will avoid it. It's perfectly safe to feed all your birds this way.Roosters will not normally eat oyster shell as long as it is free choice in its own container..
Sorry, it was 2 Acres I meant to quote, not R2Elk.But then I have to worry about the roosters, and the excess calcium.![]()
