My mom is so old, she remembers when the Iron Curtain came down. And when St Helen’s erupted.

I lived in Spokane, WA when St. Helens erupted. I still have a vial of ash somewhere here and pictures of the world turning grey as the ash blanketed Spokane. Postal workers got a vacation and no mail was delivered for a bit...but kids still delivered the newspaper . For years afterwards, people were selling all kinds of pottery and trinkets made from all that ash.

But the 80's doesn't feel so long ago...nope, I'm not old unless you ask my kids

Well, my brain is still in 2020 mode, so you can see how time flies now. Maybe the days are getting shorter, physically. Like, some weird Solar thing happened.
