I'm so old I Remember when:

I am 4' 11 1/2". LOL. To give you an idea of my height, I can only reach the stuff in the front of the second shelf of my upper kitchen cabinets. :lau
My wife is around that height and she keeps a foldout 3 rung ladder thing between the fridge and side wall

My mum has you beat, she is 4’ 8” - a true short person - I on the other hand am a giant next to her.

I need a step stool to get on my horses 😁 they learnt to step sideways when I started climbing up the ladder to get on - brats!!

I remember when I could leap up onto my horse 😊 I tried that back in the summer, it didn’t go well for me. The horse laughed when I did a face smack into her side and fall to the ground - won’t try that ever again!

My sister has horses. Fine with a giant horse but petrified on a lizard

Love them dearly but they can indeed be brats! As a teen, I had a mare who'd get and hold a big mouthful of water when she knew I was coming with her bridle, the better to spew slobbery water on my leg & foot when I made her open up for the bit. I got wise to it by noticing when she had little drops of water clinging to her whiskers, and stood clear... She was mostly a sweetheart, though. And short, like me!

It would probably be an amusing YouTube video if anyone recorded me trying to climb onto a horse these days! Still enjoy the occasional trail ride, though, on someone else's bomb-proof horse.

Story of my life. Seems like I'm always dragging out the folding stepstool to reach things in the kitchen cabinets more than 2 shelves up. Or out in the workshop, or on the garage shelves...

At least I'm still spry enough to climb and balance on the thing! I'll be doomed if over time I can't risk climbing any more, one of the main reasons I climb up & down our garage-to-kitchen stairs for exercise! (Actually I need to get away from my desk and go do at least 20 rounds of that tonight...been busy/lazy lately. More fun to drink coffee and hang out here on BYC.)

Count me among the Munchkins! I once topped out at 5' 1-1/2" tall, lost an inch somewhere, now 5' 0 and 1/2". Somehow, however, I've gained about 10" in girth! I keep a little step stool in my kitchen for reaching items higher than the lowest shelves in the cabinets, or TRY to; my granddaughter (GirlChild), at 5'4", keeps putting it away. :barnie:smack

I remember back when I was 4-5 years old my dad telling me how I almost wasn't born because he had a lizard and was about to put it on my mom and she had a pitchfork in hand.
