I'm so old I Remember when:

After these last few posts I'm thinking I must not be old at all.
I just need tires for my truck.
Squirrels chewed through the washer fluid line from the reservoir to the nozzles to spray my windshield - had to get that fixed. And yep I could use new tires - $2000 here for tires 😳

I about fainted when I had to buy some Celebrex to use before a surgery in the place of a blood thinning anti inflammatory. Insurance didn't want to cover it but they found out that under the circumstances they might had better. I'd rather have that than what I'm using. Maybe that and what I'm using together.

I'm so old I remember when people took aspirin for most everything. There was not even Ibuprofen or Tylenol. Anacin was the state of the art over the counter pain med.
And still there really aren’t many pain med options out there. Expensive to develop new meds.

For my horses I use a med like celebrex for their arthritis. But for the chooks I am limited to aspirin and Tylenol. I know I can use Meloxicam but holy Dinah it’s expensive!

I remember mum giving me aspirin for a fever as a wee child! That would never happen now as we know the link between Aspirin and Reyes Syndrome. How times have changed for the good!

We took aspirin for a fever. And when we took cough medicine, it was a spoonful or two. And a shot of whiskey for general ailments. :)
