I'm so old I Remember when:

Remember when you had to have a real potato to play with Mr. Potato Head?
I wonder how many moms found gross old potatoes under their kids' beds.
My childhood dog LOVED Mr. Potato head leftovers. She found them before Mom ever had the chance to ...

In a couple more years, my grandson will be old enough to play "Cootie" with me. Silly game, spinning to win bug parts ("Six! A leg!") to assemble your cootie before the other players.

I remember finding it hilarious as a little kid, same with my (very young) daughters. It's been around since the 1940s; wonder how many kids have swallowed those little plastic cootie parts over the generations?

(I tried to attach a photo, no luck with my old computer and old brain...)
Mom got REALLY mad when we glued all the pieces together so we could play with the bugs!

That's so cute of you kids to do that. I suppose it was more about you playing with glue then the fact you were fixing your game.

I just googled. Kickapoo Joy Juice is supposedly sold in NC at Cracker Barrel. It looked to be in cans too.
Cracker Barrel 🤣
When will the easily offended rednecks take a stand and demand a name change for that place?
