Snot freezing in your nose

For a second there I heard Jethro Tull and my mind went straight to "greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes" then I remembered the line is "snot RUNNING DOWN his nose" and I was sad for poor Aqualung for a brief moment until I heard the flute in my head.
