I'm so old I Remember when:

Yes, it's Grammarly, and I totally blew that one! :gig

Someone on here might be able to tell me... my auto spell check thingie here on BYC somehow got turned off. I don't know what magic combination of buttons I hit, but I haven't hit them them again.

I do not rely on it to catch my mistakes, and I even find the wiggly red underline to be annoying at times. But I would like to have it back...

Sometimes I have a senior moment and can't remember how to spell.
I keep my spellcheck turned off, it's just annoying. I can spell perfectly well. My problem, at my age, is I can no longer TYPE accurately!:he (thanks, Arthur Rytus!) And I get in a hurry and forget to proofread myself.... so I get to look and feel pretty stoopid on a regular basis. Keeps me humble, lol! :lau Sorry I jumped on you, Sally. :hugs

We actually still have a working phone booth at the local gas station. I think the owners keep it going just for the nostalgia
There was one farther out the road from me. The phone company was required to keep it there because it was the end of the phone line. At the time radio phones existed but cell phones did not.

It isn't always due to the typist. Sometimes it is due to the keyboard they are using.
Thank you for your understanding, Elk! My keyboard has an uncanny ability to throw an E in front of my finger whenever I try to type an R. It substitutes an S when I wish to type an A. A P will appear in place of an O, and a C or a V will take the place of a space between words. I know my keyboard is secretly laughing at me while doing this, and is having a wonderful time, but honestly,
WE ARE NOT AMUSED!
