I'm so old I Remember when:

Oklahoma Fed building bombing..... Terry McVeigh Ryder Truck was the bomb... :(
I was in my 30's when that happened, and had just moved away from Oklahoma City. My sister-in-law had a job interview that morning at the Social Security office - but she overslept and missed her appointment. My neighbor worked in that building, but that morning she called in sick and missed work. Another neighbor worked across the street and got a few stitches from the blast of broken glass. Scary stuff.

I remember buying our first 19" color TV to watch the World Series then Detroit came from behind with only one win while St. Louis had 3 to beat them 4-3.
I remember having to lie down to zip up pants.
Their was a saying then about girls melting down and pouring into those tight tight jeans.

I remember... a joke:
If someone from the past were to visit you today, what would be the hardest thing to explain about today's society?
Answer: I carry in my pocket a device that's capable of accessing all the information known to mankind. I use it to argue with strangers and look at pictures of cats.
I think there are other aspects of society that would be much harder to explain.
