I'm so old I Remember when:

I remember buying a 69 Chevy II with a trade in with no cash and had a $69 payment for 3 years.
I remember when I could afford my college tuition by combining Pell grants, what I could save working overtime hours during the summer, earning a couple modest but helpful scholarships, being able to afford basic living expenses working 25-30 hours during the school year. And the student loan debt I was left with after graduating, I paid off with $75/month for 3 years.
Anybody who tells today's young people to quit eating Avocado toast and pull themselves up by their bootstraps, has no clue how challenging today's costs are.

I know we technically don’t need one but I always feel like I do. I didn’t have much socialization growing up and so I never feel comfortable jumping into a conversation :).
I understand. BTW - the dog in your avatar is beautiful ♡

Sunday evenings ~ the whole family gathered together in the livingroom for The Wonderful World of Disney (not usually animated) weekly broadcast, with our bowls of popcorn that Dad made in a pan over the stove, and drizzled with real, melted butter
Same except sometimes we got fancy like and went with Jiffypop.
Is Jiffypop still a thing? It would make an excellent tin foil hat.
