Not only did they make house calls. One time the doctor stayed untill the baby sitter had arrived so my mum could take my brother to hospital.

I actually had my Dr do a house call about 12 years ago. He was the best doctor I've ever had.

It was pretty good popcorn, but we wanted it more for the entertainment value of watching it pop.

IDK if anyone remembers this, but when I was little you could go to a gas station, (the one with the Pegasus on it) and they would give out little plastic toy animals.

I remember buying our first 19" color TV to watch the World Series then Detroit came from behind with only one win while St. Louis had 3 to beat them 4-3.

Their was a saying then about girls melting down and pouring into those tight tight jeans.

I had a girlfriend wayy back when that would dry her pants about 3/4 of the way so they were still pretty damp, then spray diluted watered down starch on them then put them on. It worked really really really good

I remember when I could afford to go to the grocery store and still have money left in my pocket. I'm in shock over today's sticker shock.

My first home computer was an IBM, monitors came with either amber or green text, and it had DUAL FLOPPY DRIVES! Woo-hoo! Silver Reed printer with the roll of paper that had sprockets on both sides to feed it through, then you tore away the strips of little holes from the finished printing. This was, I kid you not, 1984...

Ours was a Commodore 64. Dad had taught me MS-DOS, and then I taught my two sons when they were very young. When Windows 3.1 came out, it turned then to Dad asking ME how it works.
