I'm so old I Remember when:

A few years ago the phone company was working on the junction box in our backyard. He said to reduce redundancy and avoid upgrading the whole underground phone system, they were switching landlines over to internet.
That's how ours is here. And we're at the end of the line and get several power outages a year. Sad to say our landline isn't useful the way it was most of my life. But old habits die hard...for some reason I still can't imagine not having it.

Ahhh, yes! Before we moved to the country, the whole neighborhood full of kids would be outside playing till dinnertime, at each others' yards or in the surrounding woods & fields. Each Mom had her own way of calling her kids home. One used an old ranch-style triangle, another blew a conch shell. We wished Mom would try the classic Tarzan yell (which Carol Burnett did wonderfully on her show that we loved so much!)
My mom had a real cow bell she'd ring to get me home. It belonged to her grandparent's cow.

I still have it.

I remember when this happened

Our high school had two floors. Sliding down the handrail would get you suspended, but many of us would just leap over the last four or five steps, land on the floor and keep going.

Did you ever leap from a moving swing? I did, but not too high.
Yes. We played "Bail Out"
