I'm so old I Remember when:

And they had soda fountains, and always served the best milk shakes. :love
We still have one of the three that were here back in the 60's! Stone Drug Store. Bought buy a son and now a grandson through the years. They still have the soda fountain, serve great grilled cheese sandwiches and milk shakes.

Our last actual drug store closed around 10 years ago. Now it's all pharmacies. :(

I don't remember if anyone has mentioned Penny Loafers that kids actually put pennies in and wore to school.
Yes! I had some, in grade school. We wore them with white ankle socks. Stylin'! 🤣 Later, they were my outdoor slip-on shoes to wade through my neighbor's piglet paddock to tend my horse we kept at their farmstead. I still have great fondness for those funny, squealing, pushy piglets! They get scary and dangerous when grown up, though; Mr. Garrett warned us to stay far away from the hog enclosures. They were HUGE - definitely not "pet pig" breeds.

Those loafers never came back indoors after my first pigpen trek, LOL.
