I'm so old I Remember when:

Had to go see if I could find a picture of the old milk bottle buildings. Glad I did. Found out it had burned down buts been rebuilt ❤️ And found out I remember it as a 5 and dime but it was built to sell dairy...😂View attachment 3665462
Editing to add a pic of the one my dad used to take us to.View attachment 3665474
That's an attractive building for a corner store especially.

I remember when a work truck could be financed for 3 years and used for 8-10 years easily. Now after I saw a sticker price of 89k on a new pickup that's looks like a home mortgage. :(
My 25 year old truck (bought in 1998) cost the same as my home did (bought in 1987).

Yes vehicle prices are insane! Even used private sale ones. Excuse me sellers but your shits not new

The classic and original Tarzan! My little brother and I used to watch those movies on Saturday mornings along with old classic cartoons while our folks got some much-needed time to sleep in. (We could manage our own cereal and banana breakfast.)

Also loved that Carol Burnet could (and did!) do the Tarzan yell, on her wonderful variety show!

Oh, I just saw Cynthia12's post with the clips of Carol doing the Tarzan yell! Thank you, Cynthia!!!

My dad taught all my brothers to drive before they turned 10. But he said the girls had to wait for driver's ed. He said he wasn't brave enough for all that 😏
My dad taught my sister and I to drive before we were 12, and it was a manual shift! He was a transport truck driver so we had to learn all those things. Plus use power tools, change tires, oil changes, brakes…. And so on and so forth 😊

Us girls were the ones to show the boys how to do things hahaha!

My dad taught us girls all how to shoot, but he said anything "mechanical" other than changing a tire wasn't a woman's job. 🙄

Hahahaha

Glad my dad had no boys! I learnt all sorts of good things, and don’t need to wait to get them done! 😊
