After the gas shortage of the '70s seems like it was all down hill. I've driven pick up trucks since '74.

Good if you’re in a mild climate. Not so practical here! Cold and batteries is never a good thing at -46C my truck battery froze - I forgot to plug poor Ol’ Blue in the night before

Would hate to see what that does to an EV…
