My little brother had Lincoln Logs. He also had one of those metal Erector Sets. We would build stuff for hours.

We loved our Lincoln Logs! I'd build stables for my toy horses, log cabins, etc. Those and the wood Tinker Toys, spread all over the living room while we played & watched cartoons Saturday mornings and our folks got to sleep in a bit. Little brother had a metal erector set, too - lots of easy-to-lose little pieces that made a hellacious clatter when sucked up a vacuum cleaner out of the carpet...
