I'm so old I Remember when:

Years ago there was an Acadian Cultural center in Lafayette, LA (Vermillionville) and our Living History group used to visit and intermingle with the staff. A lady I got to know in the fabrics section came by to visit our campsite. (I had found a bunch of old quilts from our fishing camp and passed them out to the tents.) She almost screamed, "Do you know what you have there?"
Next thing I know two of my old quilts are museum curated and hanging on the wall.
Years later the focus of the museum changed and I got them back. (I think they're in the back of a closet again.)
Christmas is coming. Want my address?

OMG, they got a raggedy Ann.
DD and Granddaughter: I gave both of them Raggedy Ann dolls when they were babies. Raggedy Ann was DD's lovie for a long time when she was a little girl and she is still saving it. Granddaughter wasn't as interested. DD couldn't sleep with out Raggedy Ann and a sound machine that made outdoor sounds, like birds chirping. If she had those two, she would be out like a light in no time.

I wanted to give granddaughter DD's Raggedy Ann (DD is 14 or 15 years older than granddaughter). DD had a hissy fit, she was not giving up her Raggedy Ann, not for anyone.
When granddaughter was born we had to wear stickers and write our names on them, DD put Sissy on her's. :lau :lau She was so thrilled to no longer be the youngest child in the family. She and BF often take Granddaughter for a special day when they are in town, Zoo, Aquarium, something special. Last summer I thought Granddaughter how to blow powder sugar from a beignet on to people. She laughed so hard I was afraid she would inhale sugar and choke. :gig
